Vancomycin HCl

Vancomycin HCl is a glycopeptide antibiotic derived from Streptomyces orientalis. It is affective against gram-positive bacteria and works by inhibiting cell wall synthesis by preventing cross-linking of the peptidoglycan layer.

Antispectrum：

Gram-positive bacteria including Staphyloccocus aureus Rosenbach, Streptococcus pyogenes, streptococcus pneumoniae. 

Toxicity：

LD₅₀ in mice (mg/kg): 489 i.v.; 1734 i.p.; 5000 s.c.; 5000 orally (Anderson).

Storage：Store in an airtight container, protected from light. If the substance is sterile, store in a sterile, airtight, tamper-proof container. Storage temp.2-8°C.
