Sarcosine oxidase (SAO) is an enzyme that catalyzes the
oxidative demethylation of sarcosine to yield glycine,
H2O2, 5, 10-CH2-tetrahydrofolate in a reaction
requiring H4-tetrahydrofolate and oxygen. sarcosine +
