Deferasirox (marketed as Exjade, Desirox,
Defrijet, Desifer...) is an iron chelator. Its
main use is to reduce chronic iron overload in
patients who are receiving long-term blood
transfusions for conditions such as beta-
thalassemia and other chronic anemias. It is the
